The growing availabilty of condition monitoring devices should have an impact on future substation concepts.
The main tasks of the WG are :
- Identify the condition monitoring devices currently available and detail the benefits in terms of reduced cost of maintenance, reduced forced outages, extended life of assets etc.
- Gather data from Utilities and Solution Providers on their experience to date.
- Identify the factors which need to be considered for selecting cost effective devices for one’s network.
