The UHV AC system, with rated voltages at 800kV or above, demands special technical consideration not normally encountered at rated voltages of 500 kV or less for which standardization issues are well established. The main scope of the WG is to review current knowledge and technical requirements for UHV technology to support the preparation of relevant IEC standards.
